The Partnership for Phosphate Reduction is a citizen's based group, sponsored by Door Property Owners, Inc. We are striving to raise public awareness regarding phosphates in our waters. We are campaigning to convince people to purchase and use only phosphate free dishwasher detergents and lawn fertilizers.

"This is a call for action against Cladophora: the slimy, messy, stinking, bacteria laden green mess on Door County beaches. It is necessary to deprive these algae of their major growth-determining nutrient: Phosphate."
